EMDR Therapy Intensives
If you’re wanting an accelerated therapy experience to feel better faster, or are having trouble fitting weekly therapy sessions into your busy life, EMDR intensives may be a good fit for you. EMDR intensives are personalized treatment plans that include longer sessions and are designed to work with your preferred schedule and timeline for your treatment goals. Compared to weekly hour-long therapy sessions, intensives can offer more efficiency, flexibility, and faster relief.
EMDR intensives are efficient: the intensive format allows more time for doing deep work, because of less time spent on checking in at the beginning of each session, addressing current crises and concerns, or assisting the client in regaining composure at the end of the session. Learn more here.
EMDR intensives are flexible: competing needs in modern life can make it difficult to set aside time each week for therapy sessions. Some clients find it more convenient to dedicate a half-day or a weekend to a therapy intensive rather than attending therapy every week.
EMDR intensives offer faster relief: intensive therapy means you get more help sooner, making it possible reduce symptoms faster.
I use EMDR in combination with Internal Family Systems (IFS) to address trauma, anxiety, phobias, and low self-worth.

Insurance follows an hour-long model of therapy and does not cover the intensive format. My intensive program is not in-network with any insurance companies. If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be able to submit a receipt to have partial reimbursement for the first hour of each intensive session. In addition, if you’ve been the victim of a violent crime, you may qualify for victim’s compensation to help cover the cost of intensive treatment.
